Facelift
A facelift and neck lift is performed through an incision in or near the hairline, just inside the cartilage of the ear and then behind the ear and into the hair behind the ear. This allows access to suture a fibrous-muscle layer (SMAS) under the skin in order to tighten it and create a sling that aims to lift the jowls and neck to restore the jawline contour. The skin is redraped and meticulously sutured back into place to leave a hidden scar without an unnaturally ‘tight’ appearance. It is performed under a general anaesthetic and as this advanced procedure is precise and time consuming it will require an overnight stay in hospital. Smaller facelifts (mini-facelifts/MACS lift) can be performed as daycase surgery in selected cases.
There are a large number of different facelift operations available, ranging from mini-facelifts to full face and neck-lifts. Mr Fattah is experienced with a number of different facelifting techniques and uses established SMAS-facelift methods to ensure lasting results that are not achievable by “thread lifts” or skin-only “lunchtime” facelifts. An in depth consultation exploring your aims will allow Mr Fattah to suggest a bespoke plan that will best achieve your goals.
